Original Music These tunes are from a collection of original tunes and songs that I have yet to flesh out. They will be placed on the next CD after I figure out arrangements and add multiple instruments.
Right now the "tunes" are just me double tracking with a mandolin and a guitar. The "songs" are done with one microphone and my guitar and vocal. I'm posting them, along with the finished products as they are completed, for the fun of comparison. The unfinished ones are available as either "streaming audio" or in the slower loading, (but better sounding,) format of "mp3 downloads." The finished products will only be available as "streaming audio," in the hopes that folks will purchase the CD.
The best way to listen to "Streaming Audio" is with a Real Player, since I've created these files using RealMedia. The Real Player is available from Real Audio as a free download. It's a great program for listening to streaming audio, not only at this site, but at millions of locations on the web. If you choose not to download the player, you can still listen by clicking the "Download mp3" bar on the tune pages, or your default audio player will probably appear on your screen.
Simply click this link, then click the identical link that you'll see in the gray bar at the bottom when the new page opens. Sometimes the player takes awhile to load, but it's worth it having it installed. Free RealOne Player
(As a rule, you shouldn't have to do any of the following) If you have the program installed and hear a lot of drop-outs while streaming, you may want to try changing the buffering. This is done by clicking the "Tools" tab on the RealOne menu bar. Then select "Install/Configure,"> "Connection,"> and "Playback Settings." Experiment with different settings to find out what works best with your computers net connection. If you can't download the file, uncheck the "Instant Playback" box while your in there. |
